FAQs

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If you’re considering whether your child might benefit from therapy, it’s important to recognize signs like emotional distress, behavior changes, or challenges in school and social interactions. If your child appears withdrawn, anxious or is facing difficulties, seeking support can be a positive and proactive step. Remember, you’re not alone on this journey—I'm here to provide guidance and create a safe space for your child’s growth and healing.

How long does therapy normally last?

The duration of therapy can vary widely depending on individual needs and goals. Some children may benefit from just a few sessions to address specific issues, while others may engage in therapy for several months or longer to explore deeper concerns. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that fits your child’s unique journey. The most important thing is that your child feels supported and comfortable throughout the process.

What should I expect during the first session?

Starting therapy can feel a bit daunting, but it’s a safe and welcoming space. During the first session, your child will have the opportunity to talk about what brings them to therapy and share their thoughts and feelings. The therapist will ask questions to get to know them better and understand their experiences. It’s also a chance for your child to express any concerns and ask questions about the process. Above all, the focus will be on creating a comfortable environment where your child feels heard and supported.
